Chairman

Massimiliano Bianco
Graduated with honors from Bocconi University in Milan, he is a senior executive with over twenty years of experience in water services, circular economy, energy and environmental transition, infrastructure, and local public utilities. He is currently the CEO and General Manager of Simet Soluzioni Energetiche, one of the leading players in public lighting in Northern Italy. Previously, he was CEO of Suez Italy (2022-2024), a leading multinational group in the water and waste sectors, and as CEO and General Manager of the multi-utility company Iren (2014-2021), listed on the Stock Exchange and one of the main players in Italy’s energy and environmental services. In addition, he was General Manager of Acquedotto Pugliese (2005-2013), the leading utility operator in Southern Italy, managing one of the most complex and extensive water infrastructures in Europe. Other positions held include General Manager of Federutility and CEO/General Manager of Gallo & C. (Meliorbanca group).

Roberto Righetti - Director
Roberto Righetti graduated Magna cum Laude in Industrial Economics at the University of Modena in 1988. After many years as a consultant in the fields of Economic Development and Environmental Economics, in 1994 he was employed by ERVET, the regional development agency of Emilia-Romagna. From 1994 to 2008 he worked as an economist and project manager on different fields of analysis (i.e. regional development, human capital, industrial sectors, regional policies). From February 2008 to the beginning of 2019 he served as Chief Operating Officer in Ervet Spa.
In May 2019 he has been appointed director of ART-ER, the Emilia-Romagna Joint Stock Consortium Company, born from the merger of ASTER and ERVET, with the purpose of fostering the region’s sustainable growth by developing innovation and knowledge, attractiveness and internationalisation of the territory.

 

Marina Silverii - Executive Director
Executive Director of ART-ER, former ASTER Director, expert in coordinating activities and services for technology transfer, research results valorization, skills and talent attraction. Vice President of the Fondazione Ecosister. For 10 years, she was in charge of the European Resource Center for Orientation, promoted by the Ministry of Labor and the European Commission. Former member of the Technical Scientific Committee of APRE, since June 2024 member of the Board of Directors. On appointment by the MUR, she is an expert member of the Italian Task Force of the EIC and EIE Program Committee within Horizon Europe 2021-2027. She is a member of the Management Board of the European Association Nereus. She is the Vice President of the Big Data Association

Technical Scientific Committee

The Technical Scientific Committee (TSC) supports the corporate bodies by performing consultative, analytical, and elaborative functions on the strategic guidelines of ART-ER. Specifically, as per the Directive (presented to the Board of Directors on 03/06/2019 and approved by the ART-ER Assembly on 27/06/2019), the ART-ER TSC:

  • Provides an opinion, prior to its approval, on the Consortium Activity Program (PAC) planned annually by ART-ER.
  • Engages in monitoring, guidance, and scientific evaluation of the High Technology Network of Emilia-Romagna.
