The Area oversees the construction system, providing its shareholders with support in making public works and experimenting with urban innovation actions to the benefit of the region, including services intended for public and private players in the supply chain.
It operates in urban regeneration and economy, in reducing energy poverty and in supporting the Region’s urban and housing policies, working with local authorities for the development of cities and communities of the future.
The Area monitors public procurement and the related contracts, assisting the Region on the matters of legality and transparency in public procurement for the purchase of public work, goods or services.
It sees to the regeneration of the Tecnopolo Manifattura Data Valley Hub and other strategic and complex worksites, mainly on behalf of its shareholders. It coordinates the entities that are to be based at the Tecnopolo Manifattura, designing strategies for the enhancement, communication and completion of the masterplan and general services in the area.
It manages and coordinates topic-related and strategic oversight in the Building and Construction (BUILD) and Urban Economy (URBAN) scopes, within ART-ER, addressing new strategic challenges for the Cities of the Future.
It promotes the sharing of ideas, skills, tools, resources and projects that are strategic to support the competitiveness of Emilia-Romagna’s material production systems, working with the Innovation and Research Area and with the regional research and innovation ecosystem as a whole, including the regional Clust-ERs.
