LIFE DRIVE
The DRIVE LIFE project aims to address drought and water scarcity contextually by identifying and proposing management solutions aimed at improving the resilience of the vineyard ecosystem while maintaining a high level of product competitiveness by reducing the water footprint and the need for irrigation interventions.
The project ran over the three-year period 2021-2023, and ART-ER was responsible for the biophysical and economic assessment of ecosystem services related to the adoption of resilient agronomic practices and their enhancement. Specifically, in collaboration with Credit Agricole Italia, an incentive banking product was developed towards farms that adopt Drive techniques. In addition, ART-ER developed the water footprint studies that led to the ISO14046 certification of 4 Emilia-Romagna wineries.
