SUPERHUMAN | SUPport Exo to Relief HUman Muscoloskeletal fAtigue in maNufacturing
SUPERHUMAN project (funded by EIT Manufacturing) addresses the challenge of manual operations in the industry, where handling heavy loads and ergonomically unfavorable conditions can increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders, especially in the back. The goal is to integrate two existing designs of passive exoskeletons: one for dorsal support and another for the hip support to obtain effective ergonomic support that enhances the health and safety of workers. The main sectors of potential use of these devices may be internal logistics and, therefore, the movement of components between one department to another or to the warehouse, and external logistics, for example large-scale retail warehouses.
