YOUZ Emilia Romagna Youth Forum - generations of ideas 2021-2024

YOUZ is the youth forum of the Emilia-Romagna Region, a listening and discussion project between young people and regional institutions, a relationship, dialogue and discussion tool dedicated to generations Y and Z, with the aim of collecting their proposals for the participatory definition of future regional policies.

In the summer of 2021 the Emilia-Romagna Region decided to create a meeting and listening space dedicated to young people under 35 from across the regional territory: thus YOUZ - generation of ideas was born.

In 2022 the YOUZ restarted with the new "YOUZ Carovana" format: a journey in stages to meet young people from Emilia-Romagna and discuss the document on the guidelines and action lines for the new generations, through traveling accountability workshops, to welcome young people's opinions on the policies that concern them.

After having crossed the whole of Emilia-Romagna during the 2021 and 2022 route, in 2023 Youz Carovana started with a new project dedicated to inland and mountain areas to inspire, listen and dialogue with young people and discover why to settle or stay in these areas.
Through testimonies, debates, meetings and exchanges of ideas, YOUZ 2023 explored the unique perspectives that the mountains offer, allowing young people to express concerns and suggestions to improve the quality of life in these places.

YOUZ was born as a traveling consultation process on regional policies affecting young people from Emilia-Romagna, with the aim of creating a community capable of enhancing its role as bearers of skills, values, energy and talent.

ART-ER supports the Emilia-Romagna Region in the promotion and development of system actions aimed at inclusive participation and strengthening the protagonism of young people in the social and political life of its territory.
