This Unit is responsible for quantifying the market of public procurement contracts for the purchase of works, goods and services. It is mainly engaged in integrated management of the publicity and monitoring of public contract agreements for the entire implementation cycle.
It is also responsible for preventing illegality and crime infiltrations in public procurement contracts, by developing technological systems and tools to ensure transparent management of the worksites; it participates in the Italian national work groups on these matters.
In this context, it manages the SITAR regional IT Platform, which monitors public works, both the executive phase of public procurement contracts and the SICO web applications - for preliminary notification of worksites - and SIRSA applications for asbestos removal and disposal plans and reports.
It participates in ITACA working groups on Public Procurement Monitoring, ANAC for the qualification of contracting authorities.
Furthermore, the Unit performs the technical management function for ITACA as regards the Public Contract Service (SCP) product in cooperation with the MIT.
