ART-ER considers its GEP as a cultural and organizational innovation opportunity with a multiplying effect on its shareholders, the regional Clust-ERs, the Emilia-Romagna Technopoles and the other regional stakeholders.
The three-year plan is structured according to three macro chapters, which set the gender equality topic in the European, Italian and regional background; in the company’s context and its evolution over time including also quantitative and qualitative data on staff composition. Then it presents the 9 macro areas of the plan itself focusing on:
- Policies and strategies
- Governance and top management: commitment, responsibility, visibility
- Data collection and monitoring
- Training and information
- Work-life balance
- Leadership and decision-making process
- Gender equality in career progress and recruiting
- Integration of the gender dimension in the Company’s operations, products and services
- Measures against gender violence and sexual harassment

In 2023, the year in which ART-ER published its first GEP, the Interreg Europe project DEBUTING Developing Business Through Inclusiveness and Gender Awareness – New Cluster Competences kicked off, which has contributed to provide a stronger cultural basis on the enhancement of diversities and will drive the development of initiatives which will be carried out in collaboration with the Clust-ERs and with the Emilia-Romagna Regional Authority, addressing in particular small and medium enterprises.
